Churches Together in Oadby

Churches Together in Oadby exist to :-

q       Bring Christians together in Oadby

q       Provide a united Christian witness to the community

q       Learn from each other’s Christian experience

q       Be enabled by each other’s gifts

q       Gain greater strength by acting together for Christ

This is outwardly expressed by united services from time to time during the year, meetings during Lent most years to prepare for Easter and Christmas cards to all Oadby families giving details of the Christmas services in all the churches.

Churches Together also organise support for Christian Aid, including an annual sponsored walk and door-to-door collection, Traidcraft and the Bible Society. As Oadby has grown, we have also visited new areas together.

The Anglican and Methodist Churches are seeking new ways of working together whilst retaining their separate buildings and services, as a contribution to the Anglican-Methodist Covenant talks. This in no way diminishes their commitment to CTO.
